Where: Snook Islands Natural Area – just north of Bryant Park – corner of Lake Ave. and S. Golfview Rd. in Lake Worth Beach - 26.613780, -80.047909

Duration: 8 am to 11 am

Directions: From I-95 exit at 10th Ave. N. – head east to Federal Highway (U.S. Highway 1) – turn right and head south to Lake Ave – turn left and head east – Bryant Park is on the right just before the bridge – meet at the Bryant Park boat ramp.

Additional Information: Volunteers will be transported by boat to the mangrove planters along the Lake Worth Beach Golf Club. Volunteers should be prepared for wet and muddy working conditions. You will get wet feet loading in and out of the boat. Volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes – no sandals or flip flops allowed. Restroom facilities are available at Bryant Park. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 15 volunteers who register.

Registration:The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Duration: 8 am to 11 am

Directions: From I-95 exit at Hypoluxo Road – head east on Hypoluxo Road for roughly 1 mile – the natural area is located on the south side of Hypoluxo Road between Overlook Road and U.S. Highway 1 – look for the two large wooden observation towers to locate the parking lot.

Additional Information: We will be cleaning around the wetland restoration area, so be prepared to get a little wet and/or muddy. We will also clean along Overlook Road. In addition to trash removal, we will also rake up pine litter. Volunteers should wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty. Restroom facilities are not available at the natural area. The Department will supply tools, gloves and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 15 volunteers who register.

Directions: From I-95 exit at Indiantown Rd. (State Rd. 706) and head west for roughly 2 miles – the parking area is on the left, just west of Riverbend Park. Look for a white County truck to find designated meeting area.

Additional Information: Volunteers should wear long pants, t-shirts, boots or sneakers. We may be working in areas that have standing water – so volunteers should wear clothing they don’t mind getting wet or muddy. Poison ivy is found at this natural area. Restroom facilities are not available at the natural area. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 15 volunteers who register.
