Palm Beach County Public Safety Department Animal Care and Control Division (PBCACC) is inviting the public to an event at the shelter, located at 7100 Belvedere Road (just west of the Florida Turnpike), on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, from noon to 4 p.m., to promote adoptions for the end of Clear the Shelters, a nationwide event hosted by NBCUniversal.

Come on out to PBCACC and help clear the shelters!  The shelters are overcrowded and bursting at the seams with adorable cats and dogs looking for loving homes, and interested individuals can help make a difference. ACC is waiving all adoption fees for this event!

Not only will adoptions save lives, but event attendees can also enjoy free Italian ices, snap pics with a county firetruck and PBCACC truck, spin the wheel for cool prizes and get creative at the free coloring station.  Plus, enter the raffles for just $1 a ticket, and win awesome goodies donated by local businesses.

Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is also so happy to announce that local children's author, R.G. Taylor, has generously offered to partner with PBCACC for our Clear the Shelters crescendo event this Saturday!  R.G. Taylor will be offering signed copies of his book, Spike and the Holiday Parade, to anyone who comes out to the event and adopts a furry friend of their own!

It will be a fun-filled day for the whole family and a chance to make a big impact in our community.  Let's clear the shelters together!
