The Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) ArchaeoBootcamp is a terrific program that gives local college students the opportunity to learn about archaeological fieldwork before committing the time and resources to a full field school.
It has also grown into a fantastic professional development opportunity for teachers and busy professionals looking for hands-on experience in archaeology.
The event recently took place at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Natural Area with members of PZB's historic resources staff including Chris Davenport, the county's archeologist.
