The Citizens Advisory Committee on Health and Human Services (CAC) was established in 1990 by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners Resolution R-2024-0917

Its mission is to assist the Board of County Commissioners in the assessment of need, planning, implementation and evaluation of a System of Care, as defined within the Health and Human Services Element.

The Committee consists of eleven (11) members with at least one (1) member being a resident west of the 20-Mile Bend, at least one (1) member being a representative of the Palm Beach County League of Cities, one (1) member shall be a representative of the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County, one (1) member shall be a representative of Birth to 22: United for Brighter Futures alliance, and one (1) member of the public representing the County as a whole with lived experience in the Health and Human Services System of Care.
