The Drowning Prevention Coalition team includes two passionate and dedicated individuals who strive every day to achieve our goal of eliminating accidental drownings in Palm Beach County through education and community out-reach.
Anna Stewart, Manager
Anna earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from West Chester University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University and has been with the Coalition for 20+ years. Having survived a non-fatal drowning experience herself coupled with her tenure as a Crime Scene Investigator, she lends valuable insight and a unique perspective to the DPC. She started as the DPC Coordinator in December 2003, and moved into the Manager position in 2007. Anna is considered the subject matter expert when it comes to all things water safety and is the media’s go to person when there is a publicized drowning incident. Bambi Fanto, Coordinator
Bambi Fanto has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to working for the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Palm Beach County, Bambi worked in the Palm Beach County Public Safety Division as a Victim Advocate. In this position, Bambi actively provided advocacy services to victims of crime in Palm Beach County. Bambi has extensive experience advocating for children and families as well as in conducting presentations and trainings to promote services in Palm Beach County. She has been employed with Palm Beach County Health Care District, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach County, The Department of Children and Families, Kids @ Home, Inc. and Palm Beach State College.
