Reservations are required for ALL programs (unless otherwise noted). All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program.

Activities promote environmental and historical awareness, conservation and recreation.

NOTICE: Effective October 1, 2025, all payments made with a credit or debit card (online or in-person) will incur a 3.0% service fee. This fee is assessed and collected by the credit card processor, not by Palm Beach County. No service fee will be assessed on payments made by check or cash. Service fees are non-refundable.

MONTHLY

NATURALIST WALKS
Wednesdays, 8:00 a.m. 
All ages, FREE (Reservations required)
Join naturalists each week for a 1-hour guided walk exploring the trails of Riverbend Park. It’s a great way to become familiar with the plant and animal communities and trails of the park. Call 561-741-1359 to reserve a spot.

REPTILE ENCOUNTERS
Wednesdays, 2:30 p.m. 
All ages, FREE (Reservations required)
Join naturalists each week for a short meet & greet with one of our resident reptile ambassadors.

BATTLEFIELD TOURS
Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. (October ​ May)
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
Join a Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationist docent on a battlefield tour and learn of the Second Seminole War battles that occurred here.​

OCTOBER

CREATURES OF THE NIGHT: NIGHT HIKE
Friday, October 24, 6:30 p.m.
Ages 8+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Embark on a fascinating journey into the nocturnal world of Florida’s wildlife with our Creatures of The Night Hike. Led by expert Naturalists, this immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the mysteries of nature after dark. Good walking shoes, water, a flashlight and bug spray are recommended.

SLITHERS AND SCALES: EXPLORING REPTILES AND AMPHIBIANS
Saturday, October 25, 9:30 a.m.
Ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Join a naturalist to learn about the differences between reptiles and amphibians and discuss their similarities and differences. Participants will have an opportunity to see and touch a live reptile as well as related biofacts. Then participants will go on a short walk to try and find wild amphibians and reptiles in the park.

RIVERBEND PARK VISITS THE TEQUESTA LIBRARY: SPOOKS & SCALES - UNVEILING THE SECRETS OF REPTILES AND AMPHIBIANS

Join Riverbend Park at the Tequesta Library for a fun, hands-on adventure with reptiles and amphibians! OPEN RANGE ARCHERY
Thursday October 30, 4:00 p.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
This program is offered to participants who have already attended a basic archery course at Riverbend Park.
Join USA Archery certified staff to hone your archery skills!  Participants will shoot at different targets and a basic safety review will be conducted before heading to the range. Equipment is provided. Note: Bows may be difficult to pull for smaller children. Call 561-741-1359 to reserve a spot.

NOVEMBER

FEATHERED FRIENDS: BIRDING BASICS
Saturday, November 1, 9:30 a.m.
All ages, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Join us for a guided birding walk in the park as we learn about the amazing adaptations of birds and the many roles they play in the environment. Participants can borrow bird guidebooks and binoculars.

RIVERBEND PARK VISITS THE JUPITER LIBRARY: TERRIFIC TURKEYS

Join Riverbend Park at the Jupiter Library for an exciting exploration of South Florida’s wild turkeys! FULL MOON BIKE RIDE
Friday, November 7, 6:30 p.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Explore the park with a guided nighttime bike ride! After hours get the chance to look at nature from the point of view of its nocturnal residents. Appropriate safety gear and water is required. Bring your own bike.

HISTORY IN THE PARK
Saturday, November 8, 10:00 a.m.

Join our non-profit group the Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists for a presentation by a guest speaker. Docents will conduct a walking tour of the battlefield following the presentation.

ADULT NIGHT HIKE
Friday, November 14, 6:30 p.m.
Ages 18+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Join us for a guided night hike designed for adults to explore South Florida’s unique ecosystems and nocturnal wildlife. Experience the thrill of nighttime adventure under the stars. Please bring good walking shoes, water, a flashlight and bug spray.

PIONEER FAMILY FARMSTEAD DAY
Saturday, November 15, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
Join us for our annual Pioneer Family Farmstead Day event! Experience a day in the life of a Florida Pioneer family with our antique sawmill, farm animals, garden and exhibitors! Games and activities are free to play, food trucks will be present. Come to Riverbend for an afternoon of family fun and education!
