Riverbend Park Volunteer Positions
Garden Assistant
Assists with gardening, watering, weeding, planting, and general maintenance of the butterfly garden and/or Farmstead vegetable garden area.
Tour Guide/Education Assistant (Environmental, Historical, and Wildlife Education)
Assists the Naturalists with specific educational programs which can include: leading guided tours on the trails, assisting with a school field trip, being a ride leader for the full moon bike ride program, assisting with a fishing program, and more!
Park Ambassador
Welcomes park visitors, provides customer service answering questions about the park, programs, directions, current happenings, and provides park and trail monitoring.
Maintenance Worker
Picks up trash and debris, trims branches, and performs general maintenance around the building and/or on the trails.
Sawmill Sawyer Assistant
Assists staff with antique sawmill demonstrations in our Pioneer Farmstead area.
Special Events
Assists with special events such as Farmstead Day and the Loxahatchee River Battlefield Reenactment.
Teen Naturalist/School Project
For high school students to get experience in the Environmental Science/Education field.
Please note, to volunteer you must:
- Be at least 15 years old
- Not require court-ordered service hours
- Complete the application and background check process
