The following Post Exposure Guideline is intended to ensure that hospital and pre-hospital personnel receive proper post exposure testing and prophylaxis in a timely manner.  It is NOT intended to take the place of a qualified physician. This document is based on current CDC guidelines and will be updated by the Palm Beach County Infection Control Committee as the CDC’s guidelines and recommends change.
