IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Effective July 1, 2021, per Florida state law, a Code Enforcement Officer may not initiate an investigation of a potential violation by way of an anonymous complaint.

Senate Bill 60 amended Florida Statutes 125.69(4)(b) and 162.21(3)(b), requires a person wishing to report a potential code violation must provide their name and address before an investigation may occur.  This does not apply if the code officer has reason to believe that the violation presents an imminent threat to public health, safety, or welfare or imminent destruction of habitat or sensitive resources.

If you wish to file a complaint, you may send an email to pzbcode@pbcgov.org.  Please provide the complaint address with an explanation of the potential code violations, along with your first and last name, and full address.  It is also helpful to provide your phone number in case the code officer has questions regarding the complaint.  You may also file a complaint by calling our office at 561-233-5500 Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding County recognized holidays.

An on-call Code Enforcement Officer is also available at 561-233-5523 for general questions Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding County recognized holidays.

Our office will continue to proactively identify and investigate violations personally observed by Code Enforcement Officers while routinely inspecting their areas.

NOTICE - All correspondence to our offices, including e-mail, is subject to public record laws. Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
