Our office has developed a screening tool to assist people impacted by proposed changes to ADAP. This tool will identify potential options for Palm Beach County Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program-eligible clients to access ARV medications should proposed changes take effect on March 1, 2026.

An ACA Health Insurance Special Enrollment Period (SEP) has been made available for Florida ADAP clients

CMS has released guidance authorizing a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for Florida ADAP clients affected by recent changes. The SEP will close on April 30, 2026.

Clients that may be able to pay for their own health insurance premiums or receive assistance from agency funding if they enroll or change their health insurance plan are strongly encouraged to take full advantage of this important enrollment opportunity before the deadline.

Florida Department of Health (FDOH) issues Emergency Rule immediately placing ADAP changes into effect

On February 24^th, FDOH published an Emergency Rule implementing proposed ADAP changes effective March 1. Clients previously deemed eligible and currently enrolled in ADAP who do not meet the new definition of “low-income" at or below 130% FPL are no longer eligible and coverage will be terminated.
