Florida ranks third of all states in the country for incidents of human trafficking, and Palm Beach County ranks third of all counties in the state for calls to the National Human Trafficking Hotline.
Human trafficking cases in Palm Beach County include sex and labor trafficking involving both children and adults. To increase awareness of human trafficking and to educate the public on how to recognize it, the Department of Public Safety Division of Victim Services has developed a human trafficking website.
The human trafficking website includes statistics, newspaper articles, resource information and federal and state laws. The hotline number is 1-800-373-7888. For more information, please call 561-355-2418, or visit http://discover.pbcgov.org/publicsafety/victimservices/Pages/human-trafficking.aspx.
