The Palm Beach County Section USDA Rural Development Revolving Loan Fund is administered by the Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Development and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Loans are available to support businesses in rural parts of the county, including Belle Glade, Pahokee, and South Bay. Loans are provided with a 3% fixed rate and with terms between seven and 20 years, depending on the project. Loan amounts vary, but cannot exceed the lower of $150,000 or 75% of the total project cost.
Eligible uses for USDA Loans include: acquisition, construction, enlargement, or repair of a business facility; land acquisition and development; purchase of machinery and equipment; working capital; and pollution control and abatement.
USDA Loan funded projects must promote business growth and create new jobs in the county's rural communities.
