Physical Activity Guidelines & Safety Tips
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends adults get 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity and two days of muscle-strengthening exercises each week. For optimal wellness:
• aim for 30 minutes of movement daily
• stay hydrated
• fuel your body with a balanced diet.
• get six to eight hours of sleep each night

Benefits
Physical activity boosts cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles, improves stamina and increases metabolism. It also supports mental well-being by reducing stress, enhancing mood and improving focus. Additional benefits include better circulation, joint mobility, Vitamin D exposure and enhanced social interaction.

Safety Tips
For safety, warm up with light movements, use proper form and exercise at your own pace. Take breaks, hydrate, stop if you feel pain and cool down with gentle stretches.
