PBCWUD's Seminannual System Modification scheduled to begin on July 5 and run through July 25, 2026. During this time, PBCWUD will be using “free chlorine” as opposed to “chloramine” for water treatment. This is only temporary and the water is safe to drink. PBCWUD follows a process which adheres to all regulatory standards.
It's recommended that customers who are sensitive to this change, keep an open container of drinking water refrigerated for a few hours allowing the chlorine to dissipate.
Users of home dialysis machines, owners of tropical fish, and managers of stores and restaurants with fish and shellfish holding tanks are advised to seek professional guidance for removing chlorine residuals.
PBCWUD Annual Water Quality Report Published
PBCWUD's recently-published annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), also known as the Water Quality Report, is available to utility customers online, at pbcwater.com, and linked through utility customers' bills. The report shows that PBCWUD had zero water quality violations for 2025. PBCWUD's team of industry professionals distributes more than 60 million gallons per day of high-quality drinking water to over 645,000 residents located within 1,300 square miles of Palm Beach County. In 2025, PBCWUD conducted more than 50,000 water quality analyses to ensure it continued to meet and exceed all Federal and State water quality standards throughout the distribution system. The utility's NELAC-accredited central laboratory operates seven days a week to ensure rigorous quality standards and regulatory compliance measures are met. And the utility's team of Communications professionals operate around the clock, every day, to ensure prompt service should a customer experience an emergency with their drinking water or wastewater services.

You can view a comparative schedule of rates which were included in that notice by navigating to the "Customer Service" menu above and selecting "Residential" or "Non-Residential" rates.
