How the lottery works
• Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Therapeutic Recreation section uses a lottery system for program registration to ensure everyone has equal access to register.
• There are limited program slots available. Applying for the lottery does not guarantee a slot in the selected programs.
• The lottery will be open for participants/parents to apply online during the dates listed.
• A computerized lottery spin will be conducted after the application period has closed.
• Participants/parents will be notified by phone of lottery results and be given payment information.
• If a participant is not selected in the lottery they will be entered onto the waitlist.

• Payment due date: August 24, 2026 by 12:00 p.m.
How to apply
• Under 'Online Services' tab, click on 'Register/Pay for a Program' in drop down menu.
• Login with your username and password. If you do not have a username, click on 'Create an Account' and follow prompts.
• For login assistance please call 561-966-7088.
• Click on the Therapeutic Recreation Link to find the upcoming programs.
Payment Information
NOTICE: Effective October 1, 2025, all payments made with a credit or debit card (online or in-person) will incur a 3.0% service fee. This fee is assessed and collected by the credit card processor, not by Palm Beach County. No service fee will be assessed on payments made by check or cash. Service fees are non-refundable.
• Program fees can be paid online or in person at the CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex.
• The Community Programs section is unable to accept payments over the phone.
• Any payment not received by the payment deadline, will result in forfeiture of unpaid program slots.
• Unpaid slots will become available for waitlisted participants.

Recreation Connections
Goal: To provide participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to spend time with peers, interact, socialize and have fun while gaining and/or maintaining independence in small group settings and in the community.
Benefits: Social interaction with peers, improve self-awareness and a heightened sense of emotional well-being. Gain confidence in social settings, enhance independence in decision-making and completing daily tasks.
Summer Splash
Program Date: August 28, 2026
Day: Friday
Time: 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Fee: $15
Description: Dive into some fun with the TR Summer Splash pool party! Grab your swimsuit, sunglasses and sunscreen for an evening of, music, games, light snacks and great times with friends. Come make a splash and create unforgettable summer memories!
Fun Depot Outing

Fee: $50 plus money for food and drinks
Description: Are you ready for an action-packed adventure at Fun Depot? Race to the finish line on thrilling go-karts, battle it out in an exciting game of laser tag and test your skills on a variety of arcade games. Whether you're chasing high scores, competing with friends, or just looking for an unforgettable night of fun, there's something for everyone.
Boo Bash

Description: Don’t be afraid to have some spooky fun at our TR Halloween Boo Bash! Put on your favorite costume and join us for an evening filled with music, dancing, games and sweet treats. Whether you come dressed as a ghost, superhero, witch, or anything in between, you'll enjoy a frightfully fun celebration with friends. Don't miss this hauntingly good time!
West Palm Tree Lighting

Description: Kick off the holiday season at West Palm Beach’s annual Sand Tree Lighting Ceremony! Gather with friends for an evening filled with festive cheer, featuring a live concert, holiday music, dancing, delicious food trucks and the magical lighting of the community tree. Celebrate the spirit of the season, make lasting memories, while enjoying a night of holiday fun for all ages!
Jupiter Dinner Party

Winter Wonderland Dance

Sports in Motion
Goal: To enhance physical fitness and social engagement of participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities through athletic skill development, wellness training and gameplay in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Benefits: Maintain health, wellness and mobility through moderate physical activity, social interaction and skill building. Gain confidence in social settings and a heightened sense of emotional well-being.
Sports Unlimited
Program Dates: October 9 - November 20, 2026 (No class October 30)
Day: Fridays
Time: 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: CMAA T-Rec Complex
Fee: $45
Description: Let’s play. This action-packed program is all about movement, teamwork and fun. Each week, participants will learn and play different classic and adaptive games including: Kickball, Giant Soccer, Indoor Hockey, Pickleball, Basketball and Participant’s choice. We will take a vote to choose what our last activity will be.
Open Gym Pickleball
Program Dates: October 7, 21, November 4, 18 and December 2, 2026
Day: Wednesdays
Time: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: CMAA T-Rec Complex
Fee: $5 per class
Description: Did someone say pickleball? Grab your paddle, gather your friends and join us for open gym pickleball. Enjoy these 5 days of open gym with some friendly competition while also sharpening your skills on the court. This is a casual, come as you are, no instructor open gym. There will be TR staff to ensure things run smoothly and keep the fun going. We can’t wait to see your skills grow!
