Directions: From I-95 exit at Indiantown Rd. (SR 706) – head east on Indiantown Rd. to Old Dixie Hwy. (Alt. A1A) - turn left and head north to U.S. Highway 1 – Old Dixie Hwy turns into Beach Rd. on the east side of the intersection – head east through the intersection – just before you come to the drawbridge there are parking lots on the left and right sides of the road – please park in the lot on the right side of the road – look for a white county truck to locate meeting area.
Additional Information: Volunteers should wear old clothes and shoes that they don’t mind getting dirty. We will be out in the sun removing weeds and adding mulch to the pollinator garden put in last year. Restroom facilities and cooling area available in the office next to the garden. After the weeding volunteers will get a tour of the lighthouse. The Department will supply tools, gloves and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 12 volunteers who register.
Registration: The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
