Description | What: Trash Removal from land and airboat
Where: Lake Osborne – behind PBC Therapeutic Recreation Complex (Special Olympics / YMCA) just west of John Prince Park – 2728 Lake Worth Road in Lake Worth Beach – red circle marks entrance to the complex - 26.617073, -80.084600
Duration: 9 am to noon
Directions: From I-95 exit at 10th Ave. N. – head west to Congress Ave. - turn left and head south on Congress Ave. to Lake Worth Road – turn left and head east on Lake Worth Road to the entrance to the complex – drive to the back of the parking lot (by the buses) - look for white County truck to find volunteer meeting area.
Additional Information: We will be cleaning along a canal offshoot of Lake Osborne – we will also have an airboat from Mosquito Control to grab trash not accessible from the shoreline. Volunteers should wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty or wet. Restroom facilities are available at John Prince Park. The Department will supply tools, gloves and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 15 volunteers who register.
Registration:The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
