USACE Modification Bonefish Cove Restoration
-
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) completed the contract modification for the original project design, resulting in two islands with accompanying oyster reefs.
-
One island with oyster reefs located to the north and another island with oyster reefs to the south, leaving the middle portion between the islands unaffected.
-
The contractor working on the project continues to deliver and stockpile sand concurrently at the north and south island locations.
-
Wavebreak and oyster reef construction on the north portion of the project will be commencing soon.
