Open Sunrise to Sunset, 365 Days a Year
At one time, southeast Florida's coastline was a patchwork of upland and wetland habitats spanning the western side of the Atlantic Coastal Ridge. When you visit this 98-acre remnant of those habitats, be on the lookout for the resident gopher tortoises in the scrub and scrubby flatwoods, or follow the Eastern Pondhawk hiking trail to spot a wading bird foraging in the restored wetland.
